It’s not therapy. . .it’s Self-Awareness.
Holistic Therapeutic Support
At the Center for Dynamic Healing, we believe that true wellness is achieved by addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—not just managing symptoms or diagnoses. Our dedicated team tailors every program to meet the unique needs of each individual, recognizing that health and recovery are deeply personal journeys.
We offer a comprehensive range of holistic treatments, including personalized therapy, family counseling, group education, and parent coaching. These integrative approaches empower our patients to build resilience, restore confidence, and embrace a renewed sense of purpose. By cultivating self-awareness and compassion, we help individuals reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
Our holistic philosophy acknowledges the profound interconnectedness of mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. We focus on uncovering and addressing the root causes of discontent, paving the way for meaningful, long-lasting healing.
. . . A Revolutionary Therapeutic Approach
Brainspotting focuses on the mind-body connection, that works to reprocess memories of negative experiences or trauma that are stuck deep in the mind creating an imbalance and not allowing the evolution of holistic healing to occur.
Created by Psychotherapist Dr. David Grand, Brainspotting (BSP) was created specifically to help treat survivors after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
While using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Grand noticed clients would become “stuck” on certain spots, which he later defined as the “brain spot.” He then developed the Brainspotting method (BSP). Grand identified his clients’ reactions as “frozen maladaptive homeostasis.” The human body naturally seeks balance and stability, so in a “frozen” state healing is not possible. In general terms, Brainspotting attempts to help people unlock those stuck places in their minds that are keeping them from processing and releasing their trauma.
Overview
Brainspotting is a gentle, yet powerful emotional healing tool rooted in modern neuroscience, focusing on how our mind-body system stores and processes memories, emotions, and trauma. It operates on the premise that the brain has an innate ability to heal itself.
Untreated emotions and pain disrupt our ability to achieve goals, find satisfaction in relationships, function in daily life, and experience inner peace. Brainspotting helps to process and release the emotional burdens tied to past experiences and distorted self-perceptions more swiftly and effectively than traditional therapies, including talk therapy.
How It Works
Brainspotting operates through the mind-body connection and the principle that where we look influences how we feel. When clients engage Brainspotting, therapists help them tap into their body’s central nervous system, initiating a “bottom-up” therapeutic approach that begins by releasing stress in the body.
The main steps of Brainspotting involve:
Identify an issue to work on.
Relaxation through bilateral sound
Identification of emotional signals.
Mindfulness processing of physical and emotional responses.
Release of trauma through awareness.
Conditions Treated
Brainspotting has been shown to improve various conditions, including trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, and more. Its effectiveness has earned it respect among therapists worldwide, leading to positive outcomes in emotional regulation, stress relief, and overall well-being.
Benefits
Many clients appreciate that Brainspotting allows them to process trauma without spending hours in talking about past experiences and reliving painful memories in detail. Allowing them to process and heal at a quicker and more more cost-effective pace. The results of Brainspotting include improved emotional regulation, increased self-awareness, and long-lasting results that are often felt after just a few sessions.
Effectiveness
Research increasingly indicates that our bodyies store trauma; and Brainspotting has emerged as a viable option for those seeking quick and impactful relief from intense emotional distress. By activating the brain’s trauma storage areas, it allows for profound shifts in emotional and physical well-being.
